There are many different species of butterflies available for release, offering a wide variety of sizes, colors, and flight patterns. In order to have the widest selection available for your release, please plan to reserve your butterflies at least 6 weeks in advance. Eastern

Monarch The Monarch Butterfly is perhaps the best known of all North American butterflies and boasts a wingspan of 3 - 5 inches. It makes a breathtaking sight when released from the accordian-style release box!
Painted Lady
 The Painted Lady is a highly recognized butterfly found throughout the world. With a wingspan of 2-3 inches, it is a smaller-sized butterfly and excellent choice for customers looking for a cheaper alternative to the larger butterflies. The Painted Lady is also a wonderful complement to other larger butterflies in a mixed species release.

Mourningcloak The Mourningcloak has wings that are thickly lined with gold and accented with bright blue spots. It is a hearty, medium-sized butterfly with a wingspan of 3.5 inches. The Mourningcloak will often "freeze" for a few seconds at the time of release before flying off, allowing a wonderful moment to get a close-up view. This butterfly is a great option when releasing butterflies with kids!
Gulf Fritillary
 The Gulf Fritillary is a bright orange tropical butterfly with striking, silvery spots under its wings. Its vibrant colors and wingspan of 3.5 - 4.5 inches make it one of our most popular butterflies for release!
